Easy Yoga (10:00AM - 11:30AM)
Easy Yoga

Easy Yoga is the first level of the Yoga in Daily Life System. It is good for all, especially if you are new to yoga or prefer a physically gentle class.

The class includes easy yoga asanas (exercises) that will stretch and tone the body; plus relaxation, breathing exercises & meditation.

 

 

 

Level One - Practised in the Easy Yoga Classes and 6 Week Beginners Course.

 

Level One of the Yoga in Daily Life System includes postures known as Sarva Hitta Asanas. Level 1 includes 6 progressive lessons, each being a complete practice within itself. They consist of a steady flow of movements that are united with the breath to focus the mind, improve concentration, release stress, rejuvenate joints, relax muscles, and improve flexibility, circulation and digestion. Each lesson includes systematic development of the yoga breathing techniques known as pranayama, conscious relaxation exercises and supportive meditation practices.

The Full Yoga Breath and Pranayama Nadi Shodhan Level 1 (Balancing of the Nervous System) are practiced with the Self Enquiry Meditation which at this Level aims at attaining complete physical and mental relaxation.

As an introduction to the Yoga in Daily Life System, Level 1 is a solid foundation and a smooth progression to thoroughly prepare the body and mind for the Classical Asanas in the following Levels.

Community Yoga Class ($10 Or $5 Concession) (6:00PM - 7:30PM)
COMMUNITY YOGA CLASS 

Sharing the benefits of yoga and meditation with all in our local community. This class is open to all from 13 years to 80+ years of age! No previous yoga experience is required. 

The 90 minute class is only $10 or $5 for concession card holder.

Everyone is most welcome!

 The class includes classical asanas (physical exercises) both passive and dynamic that will step-by-step build strength and increase flexibility in the body. You will be guided to practice these asanas safely and you will begin to experience their deeper benefits on the nervous system, internal organs and glands, energy centres and the mind. The class also incorporates relaxation, pranayam (breathing exercises) and meditation. The meditation practices including mantra, breath work, visualization, concentration, self reflection and the Self Enquiry technique unique to Yoga in Daily Life.

Beginner's Yoga - 6 Week Course Commences January 15 (7:30PM - 9:00PM)

BEGINNERS YOGA COURSE- starts January 15

Increase your strength & flexibility, tone your body, relax your mind, cultivate inner peace and balance.

This is the perfect way to lay a good foundation for your yoga experience. The course offers an introduction to a variety of basic yoga techniques and an understanding of the many benefits that regular yoga practice can to body and mind. This course can be successfully followed up by attending the Easy Yoga classes so you may continue to learn and receive the benefits of your Yoga practice.

If you are completely new to Yoga or you just want to make sure that you have got the right foundations then this is the course for you!  You will learn:

o         easy yoga stretches to stretch & strengthen your body
o         deep relaxation for both your body and mind
o         breathing techniques to strengthen and balance your nervous system
o         basic meditation for peace of mind

 

This Course starts on Thursday January 15th, 7.30pm - 9pm

$110/$90 concession, this includes notes, and we provide all the yoga equipment.

These classes consist of levels 2, 3 and 4 of the Yoga in Daily Life System. It is the next step following the Easy Yoga Level, and is suitable for those who have some basic yoga experience and wish to advance further. Spiritual Pathways (6:30PM - 8:30PM)

Spiritual Pathways

 

For the spiritual seekers we have a program called Spiritual Pathways.

Spiritual Pathways is a Satsang with Yoga in Daily Life. Satsang literally translates to ‘in the company of Truth’, or those seeking the Truth.

 

Spiritual Pathways is returning to the essence of Yoga:

a weekly inspiration to bring each of us forward on our journey to Wholeness;

re-union of our Self with the Divine; and

philosophical and non-religious.

 

It is also a great way to end the week, connect with like-minded people, and sustain inspiration to walk the spiritual path amidst our busy lives and other responsibilities.

 

The program will be different each week and can consist of meditation, prayer, music, mantras, philosophical talks, lectures on film, discussions, and fellowship of like-minded people.

Spiritual Pathways is held every Friday 6:30pm except the first Saturday of every month at 6:00pm. Saturday program includes a vegetarian meal & $10 donation goes to support YIDL humanitarian aid.

Pre- Natal Yoga* 5 Week Course Starts Sat February 7th (11:45AM - 1:15PM)

                                                     Pre-Natal Yoga

This class can be attended at any stage of pregnancy. Learn body awareness, breath techniques, yoga stretches for all stages of pregnancy, relaxation & meditation. Practicing yoga during pregnancy will prepare mother's physically, mentally and emotionally for birth and motherhood. Benefits include:

• nourishment for body, mind & soul
• provides mental calm in adjusting to the pregnancy
• strengthens the body gradually
• tones the inner organs & may help prevent uterine prolapse
• helps relieve back pain & joint pain
• may help alleviate morning sickness
• may prevent high blood pressure
• provides relief from fluid retention
• helps to build the Mother’s confidence in her own abilities

Saturday's from 11.45am - 1.15pm.

We all lead full and busy lives.  So why should we spend time learning and practicing meditation?  The answer is that meditation is a very simple life skill that has broad- reaching positive effects.

·         And it allows us to function at a higher level. 

 

Meditation is intrinsically valuable as an experience in its own right.  It also naturally and effortlessly cultivates more skilful living.  That is why it has been around for thousands of years.  So, one of the main reasons why we should spend time learning and practicing meditation – is because we all lead full and busy lives.

These classes consist of levels 2, 3 and 4 of the Yoga in Daily Life System. It is the next step following the Easy Yoga Level, and is suitable for those who have some basic yoga experience and wish to advance further. The class includes classical asanas (physical exercises) both passive and dynamic that will build strength and increase flexibility in the body; you will be guided to practice these stronger asanas safely and begin to experience their deeper benefits on the nervous system, internal organs and glands, energy centres and the mind. The class also incorporates relaxation, pranayam (breathing exercises) and meditation. The meditation practices are based on Self Enquiry Meditation techniques including mantra, breath work, visualization, concentration, self reflection and self enquiry.

Pre- Natal Yoga* 5 Week Course Starts Sat February 7th (11:45AM - 1:15PM)

This class can be attended at any stage of pregnancy. Learn body awareness, breath techniques, yoga stretches for all stages of pregnancy, relaxation & meditation. Practicing yoga during pregnancy will prepare mother's physically, mentally and emotionally for birth and motherhood. Benefits include:

• provides mental calm in adjusting to the pregnancy

• tones the inner organs & may help prevent uterine prolapse

BEGINNERS YOGA COURSE- starts February 3rd

Increase your strength & flexibility, tone your body, relax your mind, cultivate inner peace and balance.

This is the perfect way to lay a good foundation for your yoga experience. The course offers an introduction to a variety of basic yoga techniques and an understanding of the many benefits that regular yoga practice can to body and mind. This course can be successfully followed up by attending the Easy Yoga classes so you may continue to learn and receive the benefits of your Yoga practice.

If you are completely new to Yoga or you just want to make sure that you have got the right foundations then this is the course for you!  You will learn:

o         easy yoga stretches to stretch & strengthen your body
o         deep relaxation for both your body and mind
o         breathing techniques to strengthen and balance your nervous system
o         basic meditation for peace of mind

 

This Course starts on February 3rd, Tuesday's 7.30pm - 9pm

$110/$90 concession, this includes notes, and we provide all the yoga equipment.
